Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Last Updated: May 29, 2026
Protecting your private information is our priority. This Privacy Policy applies to loyalyard.com and LoyalYard ("we," "us," or "our") and governs data collection and usage. The LoyalYard website provides information about our pet waste removal services, which are available only in Arizona. By using the LoyalYard website or services, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
Collection of Your Personal Information
To provide you with our pet waste removal services, LoyalYard may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:
- First and last name
- Mailing or physical address
- Email address
- Phone number
- Information about your yard, such as size, gate locations, or areas to be cleaned
- Information about your pets, including number of pets, names, or types
If you schedule or purchase our services, we collect billing and payment information (such as credit card or bank details) to complete the transaction. For subscription customers, we maintain a customer record with our payment processor (Stripe) that allows us to charge your card on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. We do not store full credit card numbers or security codes on our servers; payment information is processed and stored securely by Stripe. We do store payment-related metadata returned by Stripe β including transaction IDs, payment status, billing dates, the last four digits of your card, and your card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) β to manage your account and provide customer support.
We may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your zip code or general location.
We automatically collect information about your device and browsing activity, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referral sources, and pages visited on our site. This helps us improve our website and services.
We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may need to provide certain details when using our services, such as requesting a quote, scheduling a cleanup, signing up for newsletters, participating in surveys or reviews, or contacting us via email, chat, or phone.
Use of Your Personal Information
LoyalYard collects and uses your personal information to operate our website and deliver the pet waste removal services you request, such as providing quotes, scheduling cleanups, processing payments, and offering recommendations.
We may also use your information to:
- Improve and personalize our services, website, and user experience.
- Send you newsletters and marketing emails about our services, promotions, or related offers (with your consent where required). Marketing communications go exclusively via email β we do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
- Conduct surveys, collect reviews, or analyze feedback to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Aggregate data for internal research, benchmarking, or site analytics (without identifying you individually).
- Communicate with you via email, chat, phone, or text for inquiries, confirmations, or service-related updates. See the SMS Messaging Practices section below for the full scope of text-message communications.
- Detect and prevent fraud, ensure security, and comply with legal requirements.
Calls may be recorded for quality and training, with notification where required by law (Arizona is a one-party consent state).
We will not use your information for purposes unrelated to our services without your permission.
SMS Messaging Practices
This section describes our text-messaging program in detail. We are transparent about this because text messages cost you money (your carrier may charge for each one) and because federal law (the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) and our SMS carrier (Twilio) require us to be.
Our SMS program is registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR) under A2P 10DLC as a Low Volume Mixed campaign tier. Although this campaign tier permits both transactional and marketing messages, we operationally send SMS only to deliver service-related communications β driver arrival notifications, service completion confirmations (with photo), billing failure alerts, service-paused notifications, and post-service review requests. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising text messages of any kind. All marketing communications β newsletters, seasonal offers, referral rewards, special announcements β go via email only, with their own separate opt-in and unsubscribe mechanism.
How you opt in
There is exactly one way to opt in to our SMS program: tick the consent checkbox at our checkout page (loyalyard.com/checkout). We do not enroll customers in SMS through any other channel β no admin-side manual enrollment, no phone-based verbal opt-in, no inferred consent from prior interactions, no rollover from email signup, no SMS-marketing-keyword opt-ins.
The checkbox at checkout is unchecked by default. You cannot complete signup without affirmatively ticking it. The full SMS scope β message types, frequency, opt-out keyword, msg & data rates disclosure, and links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service β is shown directly in the checkbox label so you see exactly what you're agreeing to before ticking. The checkbox authorizes (a) receipt of transactional/service-related text messages and (b) acknowledgment of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
We capture and store your consent β including the timestamp, IP address, and a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of the exact disclosure language you saw β so that we can prove (and you can verify) exactly what you agreed to receive.
Because text-message coordination is operationally part of how we deliver the service (we use SMS to tell you when the driver is arriving, when the job is done, and if there's a billing issue), accepting the checkbox is required to complete signup. If you do not want to receive text messages, please contact us directly before signing up so we can discuss whether email-only service is workable for your situation.
What we send
We send the following types of text message β and only these types:
- Driver arrival notifications ("on the way, ~15 minutes")
- Service-completion confirmations with photo of the completed work (sent as MMS)
- Payment-failure courtesy alerts (e.g., card declined, brief instructions to update)
- Service-paused notifications (when payment retries are exhausted)
- Post-service review requests (one initial message, optionally one or two follow-up reminders if no response)
We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising SMS β ever. All marketing outreach is delivered exclusively by email, with its own separate opt-in and an unsubscribe link in every marketing email.
Frequency
SMS frequency varies based on your service schedule, but most customers receive approximately 2β6 messages per month.
Opt-out
You can opt out of all text messages at any time by replying STOP to any of our text messages. Once you reply STOP, we will:
- Confirm your opt-out with a single confirmation reply
- Cease all automated text messages to your number immediately
- Record the opt-out in your customer record so the system gates all future SMS sends
Opting out of SMS does not cancel your service, but you will no longer receive automated arrival notifications, completion confirmations, or billing alerts by text β we will deliver these notifications by email instead. To opt back in to SMS, reply START to a previous message from us, or visit the checkout page and sign up again with the same phone number. We do not re-enroll customers via informal channels (phone call, email request, etc.) β re-opt-in must come through a verifiable mechanism (START reply or new checkbox tick). Our STOP/HELP/START keyword handling is provided by Twilio, our SMS infrastructure provider.
Help
Reply HELP to any of our text messages to receive a help message that includes our business name, support email, and phone number.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and plan. The text messages we send are billed by your carrier to you; we do not control or set those rates.
How your phone number is used (and what we don't do with it)
Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in status are used only to send you the transactional messages described above. We do not share, sell, lease, or otherwise transfer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. This includes affiliates and partners β there is no carve-out.
Your phone number is shared only with the infrastructure providers strictly necessary to deliver SMS to you (Twilio, our SMS gateway) and with operational service providers under confidentiality obligations as described in the "Sharing of Your Personal Information" section of this policy.
Consent record
When you tick the consent checkbox, we record:
- The date and time of opt-in
- The IP address used to submit the form
- A cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of the disclosure language you agreed to, so we can produce the exact wording later if asked
This consent record is retained for as long as you are an active customer plus 4 years afterward, per TCPA recordkeeping best practice.
Sharing of Your Personal Information
LoyalYard does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information or customer lists to third parties.
We may share your information with trusted partners to help us operate and improve our services, such as for statistical analysis, sending emails or texts, providing customer support, processing payments, or scheduling deliveries.
SMS Opt-In Data Protection: The above data sharing practices exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for marketing or other purposes.
These partners are required to keep your information confidential and use it only for the purposes we specify.
We may also share your information:
- With service providers or referral partners when you request a quote or schedule a cleanup, to provide accurate options and facilitate your service.
- On third-party advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) to deliver relevant marketing, but only in aggregated or anonymized forms where possible. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with advertising platforms.
- For surveys or reviews conducted via third-party software, with your consent.
- In the event of a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, where your information may be part of the assets transferred.
- If required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public.
We may share aggregated or de-identified data that does not personally identify you for research or benchmarking purposes.
Opt-Out of Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
You have the right to opt-out of us sharing your personal information with third parties for certain purposes, such as marketing or analytics.
If you opt-out, we will stop sharing your information unless you later authorize it. To exercise this right, email us at [email protected] with your request. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe after verifying your identity.
For marketing communications:
- Emails: Click the "Unsubscribe" link in any email.
- SMS/Texts: Reply STOP to any message.
- Calls: Contact us to revoke consent.
Opting out may limit access to certain features or services.

When you request a quote on our landing page, we use browser session storage to temporarily remember your information (email, phone, zipcode) so you don't have to re-enter it when you proceed to checkout. This data is stored only in your browser and is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab or complete the signup process.
Abandoned Quote Follow-Up Tracking:
LoyalYard's website uses cookies and session tracking to monitor your quote requests and onboarding progress, including when you have requested a quote but have not completed signing up for services. This information is used to determine when to send reminder messages via email to encourage you to complete your signup. Abandoned-quote follow-ups are sent by email only β never by SMS.

These third parties may collect information about your online activities across different websites.
Do Not Track (DNT):
We do not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals from browsers. However, you can use the opt-out options described above to control tracking and advertising.
Security of Your Personal Information

Upon receiving a verifiable request from you, we will:
